Accounting Manager

Location: Partially/Fully remote during COVID, Brampton, Ontario


  • Prepare month-end journal entries and financial statements
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist Controller in maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
  • Prepare quarterly filings for parent company
  • Monthly filings and point of contact for sales tax
  • Maintain bank accounts make bank payments and monitor cash requirements
  • Assist in overseeing aspects of accounting day to day including but not limited to the accounts payable function and general accounting administration
  • Assist in ensuring efficient and accurate accounting operations
  • Support annual inventory count and audits
  • Maintain accounting and administration for leases
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual income tax return and reconciliation
  • Establish and implement processes and technology
  • Assist in updating and developing standard operating procedures
  • Keep up to date with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and industry trends
  • Ad hoc projects as required
  • Opportunity to assist in the accounting operations of another company


  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Accounting designation
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Sage 300
