In 1994, SOTA purchased a metal fabrication building in Brampton, Ontario. 

Initially a 25,000 sq ft building, it was located close to the airport, offered a large lot with growth potential and nearby access to major highways. This site was ideal for our immediate operations and later expansion.The office and shop were renovated to our specifications, and with subsequent expansions, we have increased the total floor area in this facility to 80,000 ft2. Facing increased demand, SOTA purchased the Van Kirk location in Brampton to house a second assembly plant and located their fabrication plant in a separate building on Drew Road in Mississauga.  

With our operations divided into separate fabrication and assembly facilities, we are able to maintain “clean room” conditions for assembly, and schedule production of specific projects to dedicated assembly lines for greater efficiency.

Philippines Plant

In 1994, following with a downturn in local construction, SOTA introduced products and services to offshore markets. During our early overseas projects, unitized panels were manufactured in Canada and shipped to their destination where installation was supervised by our forces. However, as demand for our products in Asia increased, the need for an overseas manufacturing plant became apparent.

This resulted in the creation of SOTA Philippines Inc., and a 50,000 ft2 plant in Manila, Philippines. It is well positioned for shipping to South East Asian markets as well as servicing the local market in the Philippines.  Our philosophy is to maintain a high standard of design, manufacture, safety and management through our facilities worldwide.  As such, this plant is fitted with the same automated systems, and is staffed with skilled and educated workers trained in the manufacture of our products.
